FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: mechanized pillow is used in supporting stopes and junctions between stopes and underground workings on flat seams with stable hard-to-crush roof primarily at longwall mining system. Artificial mechanized pillar has rotary transport device with frame having longitudinal slot, holders with hydraulic supports installed for possible relative displacement along slot, guide members over contour of transport device and interacting with guide rollers mounted on holders. Connected with frame by moving hydraulic cylinders through supporting platform are cutting-face and seating sections of support located over longitudinal axis of supporting platform and frame installed on it. Slot can be shaped, pulling member can be of endless-type and have pushers interacting on definite sections with stops located on holders. On one shaft with driving sprocket, cranks can be mounted together with control followers with hydraulic control valves mechanically connected with followers and hydraulically connected with crank operating cylinders. Control followers can be mounted on driven sprocket shaft. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 cl, 9 dwg
