FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: piston engine has round cylindrical housing 1 that, together with shaft 4, forms several noncircular cylindrical spaces wherein pistons 10 with connecting rods 11, beveled washer 7, and movable washer. The movable washer is made up as several, according to the number of pistons, slides 13 which are received in round ring groove 14 provided on the inclined side of the beveled washer. Each slide is pivotally coupled with connecting rod 11, e.g., through cylindric journal 12 of the connecting rod that is in a contact with the cylindric surface of slide 13. The axle of the journal of the connecting rod is parallel to the plane of ring groove 14 and perpendicular to its radius. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 cl, 6 dwg
