METHOD OF MANUFACTURE OF RUBBERIZED COLLAR Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: sealing technology; manufacture of sealing devices with collars whose bearing part is made from rubberized fabric. SUBSTANCE: method consists in preparation of tapes from bevel-cut rubberized fabric of cross weaving by cutting the fabric into cloths coupled together at angle of 45 deg relative to longitudinal size of tape. Then tapes are wound in rolled-up stock which is cut into rings: rings are turned out over perimeter and are placed in mould, after which collar is subjected to vulcanization; blanks are made from longitudinally cut cloths whose fibers are oriented at angle of 45 deg.
