FIELD: agriculture and pedagogy. SUBSTANCE: training apparatus has three-dimensional animal model 1, parts 2 imitating thoracic limbs and parts 3 imitating pelvic limbs. Limbs are provided with detachable hoofs 4,5 having shape and nature of defects characteristic of widely spread animal hoof diseases, set of standard orthopedic instruments 10 and special orthopedic instruments 11, control system 19 with program unit 20 and indication unit 21, and animal mechanical reaction imitating system. Most rational shape of animal hoof is provided by set of orthopedic curves 12 and set of patterns. Pivoted link mechanism 23 of limb imitator is retained in any physiologically admissible position by means of retainer 24 during working of limb imitator (edging, trimming, cleaning). Repeated utilization of worked hoofs 4,5 is provided by using system, which forms hoof horn imitator for imparting required shape and sizes to hoofs. The system allows "mossy" hoof horn previously removed to be grown in mold filled with multicomponent quick-hardening mixture. EFFECT: provision for effective imitation of situations occurring in real practice of veterinarians during working of farm animal hoofs. 4 cl, 2 dwg
