FIELD: ophthalmohygiene. SUBSTANCE: patients' binocular vision is studied with help of four-point color test. Patient is subjected to color test presented at working distance from patient and using light filters with progressively decreasing diameter and with decreasing distance between them both in horizontal and vertical directions. In each specific case, parameters of specific light filter used are calculated as function of distance from patient's eyes to working surface using formulae reported in specification of present invention. If any binocular vision disorder is detected, prism- type compensator is used to determine degree of exo- or esophoria. EFFECT: simple and cheap method for prophylaxis of binocular vision disorders. 1 tbl
