FIELD: medicine, ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: a Maddox cylinder ("stick") in pilot rim should be applied onto right-hand eye of a patient and a red light filter - onto left-hand eye. Photo-target (the source of light) should be put at level of patient's eyes at different distance against a patient. The degree of strabismus should be determined due to measuring the distance from a photo-target (a source of light) up to red vertical strip with the help of a ruler, the data obtained should be transformed into degrees by applying special scale for transforming linear values of corresponding angles in accordance to the distance at which the measurement took place.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of studying.
