METHOD OF AND DEVICE FUR CONNECTION OF UNITS AND SETS OF V-BLOCKS Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: machine tool industry; flexible manufacturing systems with replaceable units and mechanisms. SUBSTANCE: base members, being V-blocks decreasing in size 1, 2, 3 with inner space and ports whose number can be different are fitted in aligning outer and inner ribs of fitted-in V-blocks and registering coaxially the holes in apices of V-blocks. Rods 8 are inserted into holes thus connecting base members and units. Device for fitting in V-blocks has inner apace 22 which is made branching with widening of space in each branch 21 from center of apace. Units and mechanisms are placed on faces of different steps. Mechanical unit has holes meeting in center of unit which are arranged coaxially with meeting holes in base members 1, 2, 3. When fixing unit or units in device, rods 8 are driven into holes of unit housings. Mechanical units are replaceable. Unit can be re-set in inner space 22 of device. Device is provided with mechanisms to move rods 8. Drives of mechanisms are located on base members 1, 2, 3. EFFECT: facilitated connection of units and V-blocks. 9 cl, 10 dwg
