FIELD: materials handling; mechanization of load handling and transportation and storehouse operations for forming of compact package of boats and its transportation in large-size containers for storage at storehouses. SUBSTANCE: method comes to placing two piles of boats on base, parallel to each other so that boats in one pile are arranged with keel upwards and in other, with keel downwards so that boat sides should partially overlap each other in plan and axes of boats should be arranged at angle α and bows should be pointed in opposite sides. Packing case for boats has several parallel bases arranged one over the other consisting of runners connected by cross beams and pillars of device for fixing bows and sterns of boats placed with keel downwards and bars stops and flat lock for bow with cutout to suit shape of boat bottom. Devices for fixing the boats placed with keel upwards have longitudinal strips with bosses, locks and stops. Individual packing of boat has intermediate sheet material gaskets corrugated cardboard outer linings and polyethylene hood put over the boat. EFFECT: improved quality of packing. 3 cl, 10 dwg
