FIELD: power mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method comprises supplying fluid compressed in the combustion chamber to the vanes of a guide unit, swirling the flow, and directing the swirled fluid flow at an angle to the direction of rotation to the vanes of the centripetal turbine wherein it is expanded and does mechanical work at its rotatable shaft. The fluid is swirled inside the guide unit so that to produce an angle between the output flow and direction of rotation no less than 35°. Before supplying the fluid to the vanes of the turbine the fluid is directed to the ring accelerating space wherein the fluid is cooled during expansion. The heat machine has housing with pipe lines for supplying and discharging fluid, vanes of the guide unit arranged inside the housing, and wheel of the centripetal turbine coupled with the output shaft. The machine is also provided with accelerating space interposed between the vanes of the guide unit and the turbine wheel. The diameter of the inlet of the ring accelerating space exceeds the diameter of its outlet by more than by a factor of 1.2. The outlet ends of the vanes of the guide unit are at an angle 28-35° to the direction of rotation. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 6 cl, 4 dwg
