FIELD: analysis of gases. SUBSTANCE: process of detection of determined substances in environment includes following stages: production of light reaction ions, their mixing with analyzed mixture with formation of quasi-molecular ions in measurement chamber, sequential creation in chamber of two types of electric field with special time characteristics distinguished by asymmetries and plotting of calibration curve in the form of dependence of flux of quasi-molecular ions on effective value of voltage with preset frequency for each of the two determined substances per each asymmetry. Then effective value of voltage is found from plotted curves and two signals corresponding to flux of quasimolecular ions are generated under this effective voltage for analyzed mixture in two symmetries. Later identification of determined substance is conducted by these signals which logically intercoupled with allowance for calibration curves. Device for implementation of process has measurement chamber, aid to inject analyzed mixture into chamber, aid to produce light reaction ions in chamber, electrode pair positioned in chamber, aid to record and process signals corresponding to flux of quasi-molecular ions and voltage source connected with electrodes which provides for sequential supply of voltage to electrode pair for asymmetric voltage characteristics different in polarity. Aid to record and process signals includes elements for comparison of obtained electric signals. EFFECT: enhanced authenticity of process and reliability of device. 23 cl, 3 dwg
