FIELD: medicine; pulmonology. SUBSTANCE: proposed method makes it possible to prognosticate cases of complicated and uncomplicated course of acute pneumonia in patients during first two days after their admission to hospital. Method employs complex of most information-bearing laboratory parameters in combination with logic disease model. Method employs proprietary formula for calculating prognostic probability (P). At P>0.5 uncomplicated course of acute pneumonia case is prognosticated, whereas at P<0.5 - complicated case. EFFECT: invention is of mush help to pulmonologist.
