FIELD: satellite search systems. SUBSTANCE: device has stationary center and set of satellites which position is known. Separate periodic signals are sent from center through first and second satellites to object which position is to be determined. Phase shift in periodic characteristics of periodic signals received from first and second satellites describe relative time difference between to different paths of signals to object, which in response sends back signal through first satellite which indicates measured time difference. Said back signal is used later according to object local time which is further corrected using periodic signal which is sent through first satellite. This time is later serves as start of specific time interval which is determined by center operation mode. Center uses delay in signal transmission which is calculated as difference between clock pulse of current transmission and clock pulse when back signal is received as well as measured time difference which is sent with back signal for calculation distance between first and second satellites and object.
