FIELD: mobile global cellular trunk communications. SUBSTANCE: system uses a number of low-orbit satellites 1 moving above the Earth over orbit. Communication channels are provided directly from satellites to ground exchanges 2 through switchboard of shared automatic exchange. Satellites are mutually linked through communication channels into ring structure surrounding the Earth. Switching operations are made by each satellite. In addition, each satellite sends call as soon as it leaves particular user zone. EFFECT: provision for communication by means of portable cellular telephone sets, for two-way communication either on the ground or at definite altitude of several hundreds of nautical miles. 12 cl, 4 dwg
