PROCESS OF CERTIFICATION OF TELESCOPE UNDER ATMOSPHERIC CONDITIONS OF ITS USAGE Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: astronomy, certification of telescopes with great apertures. SUBSTANCE: process is realized by device including certified telescope 2, lens 3 transforming radiation focused by telescope to parallel radiation, flat mirror used to divide certified radiation into two half-beams corresponding to two halves of aperture of telescope 2. Standard subbeams are isolated in each half-beam with the aid of semitransparent mirrors 5 and 6. N summary images of point source are recorded by means of optical unit 7 on photoplates 8. N summary images of point source are formed with the help of optical unit 10 by second and first subbeams and are recorded on photoplates 11. Later cards of aberration distortions are reconstructed in devices 9, 12, reconstructed cards are corrected in device 13 and total card is formed in device 14 by joining corrected cards. Increased accuracy of reconstruction of card of aberration distortions of telescope is provided thanks to enhanced coherence degree of certified and standard beams.
