PLANT SPROUT RETAINING PIN Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: agriculture, in particular, establishment of trailer plant roots. SUBSTANCE: pin has main long straight rod 1 and short side slightly curved rod 2. Rods are connected with their upper ends to define angle close to right angle. Portion of sprout adapted to be secured is gripped by base of forked part of pin. Long main rod 1 is adapted to retain pin in selected location and short rod 2 presses gripped portion of plant sprout to ground surface. Pin has vertical bright colored handle 3, which remains above soil surface upon fixation of pin to indicate location of plant sprout and pin. Color of pin may serve marker, which indicates separate pinned sprouts among others. Handles of pins are provided with retaining members allowing pins to be tied by stringing on wire of cord rod or pins may be successively riveted one with another. Handle 3 has lower and plated upper parts. Sliding preventing projections are made on flat side surfaces of upper parts. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and provision for optimum conditions for plant sprouts rooting. 5 dwg
