FIELD: head protecting equipment. SUBSTANCE: helmet has protective casing, helmet liner with stitched-on pelerine, shock-absorbing device and helmet fastening unit. Shock-absorbing device is formed as helmet liner layer composed of pack of materials positioned between outer and inner layers of liner. Upper and lower layers have area equal to area of helmet liner bottom and are attached to marginal portions of seam, along which liner bottom is connected with sides of helmet liner top. Inner layers coincide and their transverse edges are aligned with transverse edges of outer layers. Longitudinal edges are extending along seams connecting mentioned layers with helmet liner top. Helmet fastening unit has row of buttons, with some buttons being positioned on mid portion of helmet liner and others secured on straps inserted into semicircular members put onto plates, which are inserted into slots on inner side of helmet liner. Number of buttons is equal to number of receptacles made on inner surface of helmet casing. Button spacing corresponds to receptacle spacing. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 3 cl, 4 dwg
