FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: method involves setting distal fractured femur fragment 0° rotation position by eliminating rotation displacement. The central fractured bone fragment is reduced to the same rotation degree. The event is checked with X-ray picture of proximal injured extremity femur region to be coincident with one of proximal intact extremity femur region set in zero rotation position. The central fractured bone fragment is rotated by means of auxiliary device having two articulated plates and separator member. Wire is introduced into the upper bone splitter frontal towards dorsal side and into the distal one from inside out. The wires are fixed in wire distractor unit retaining the wires in perpendicular relation. The fractured bone fragments stretched to restore femur length and intramedullary rod is introduced. The wires having rest members are oppositely introduced into bone fragments in particular cases when fracture lines are directed towards femur articulation end.

EFFECT: simplified reposition method with large forces being applied.
