FIELD: traumatology and orthopedics. SUBSTANCE: device comprises removable reducing apparatus in the form of rods connected by hinged mechanism. Installed turnably on said rods are spindle holders and fixing apparatus in the form of support made of several parts interconnected by articulated joint. Said parts carry spindle holders with bone spindles capable of adjustable motion. Method involves introducing bone retainers at various angles into bone, fastening their free ends in reducing apparatus, repositioning the fragments, replacing reducing apparatus by fixing apparatus and ensuring parallelism of fixing apparatus support with axis of extremity segment, compression or distraction of fragments with physiological loading of injured extremity.
