FIELD: fire-fighting equipment used for fire suppression in industrial enterprises, warehouses, transport and home. SUBSTANCE: automatic powder fire extinguisher has casing filled with fire-extinguishing powder, closure hermetically connected to casing, and chamber with gas-generating charge and electric activator. Chamber is positioned in upper part of closure. Fire-extinguisher casing and chamber volume ratio is 1:0.01 plus and minus 0.03. Chamber is provided with perforations. Ratio of perforations area and gas-generating charge surface area is 1:54 - 1:150. Casing may be further provided with initiating powder and fire conducting cord connected to gas-generating charge.
