FIELD: plastic metal working, namely manufacture of aperture articles such as sleeves with single-side thickened portion by hot forging. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of preliminarily shaping cylindrical blank for making semifinished product having on its lower end technological cylindrical protrusion coaxial with semifinished product. Diameter of said protrusion consists 1.13-1.21 of diameter of dead opening to be made in semifinished product by backward extrusion. Diameter of blank consists 0.93-0.96 of protrusion diameter. Then bottom of cylindrical blank is removed by removing said protrusion. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 tbl, 4 dwg
