FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves supplying molten metal from pouring ladle into vacuumizer; providing jet in-line vacuumizing of metal in vacuumizer; feeding metal from vacuumizer through discharge branch pipe into intermediate ladle and further into crystallizers. Metal is supplied from vacuumizer into intermediate ladle by auxiliary branch pipe, into which inert gas is supplied, when metal level is raised in intermediate ladle above lower ends of branch pipes and vacuumizer is pressurized by molten metal. Apart from jet in-line vacuumizing, circulation vacuumizing of metal in intermediate ladle is performed. Inert gas flow rate Q in auxiliary branch pipe and diameter D of metal jet in channel of auxiliary branch pipe are set in accordance with dependences: Q = (6-12) q, D = (0.05-0.1) q, where q is weight consumption of molten metal from intermediate ladle, t/min; (6-12) is empirical coefficient taking into account conveyance of metal through auxiliary branch channel by neutral gas bubbles, cub m/min/ton/hour; (0.05-0.1) is empirical coefficient taking into account hydrodynamic laws of metal flowing in auxiliary branch pipe channel, m/min/ton.
