FIELD: metallurgy, in particular, continuous casting of metals. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of liquid metal from casting ladle through vacuum chamber and two branch nozzles into tundish and separation of vacuum chamber by partition into two hollows; stream degassing in one hollow and circulation degassing in the other hollow; supply of metal from one hollow of vacuum chamber to the other; feed of metal from tundish to molds; pulling of ingots from molds; supply of inert gas to one of branch nozzles. In so doing, thickness of steel layer in vacuum chamber hollow in which circulating degassing is is carried out is taken equal to 1.2-4.0 thickness of steel layer in vacuum chamber hollow in which stream degassing is effected. EFFECT: higher intensity of circulating degassing in course of steel treatment and provision of conditions for production of steel with especially low content of carbon in course of steel continuous casting. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
