FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: method involves supplying molten metal from pouring ladle into vacuumizer; providing jet in-line vacuumizing of metal in vacuumizer and feeding metal from vacuumizer through discharge branch pipe into intermediate ladle and further into crystallizers. During in-line jet vacuumizing, inert gas is supplied along perimeter of discharge branch pipe channel through vacuumizer bottom at flow rate of 20-140 cub m/hour, with metal being partially directed from discharge branch pipe to peripheral parts of vacuumizer working cavity. Apparatus has pouring ladle mounted on vacuumizer, discharge branch pipe mounted in vacuumizer bottom and extending into working cavity of intermediate ladle, which has pouring cups extending into crystallizers. Cylindrical wall mounted on vacuumizer bottom around discharge branch pipe is provided with side openings positioned at the level of vacuumizer bottom. Porous plugs or multichannel tuyeres are positioned in space between cylindrical wall and vacuumizer side wall in bottom in opposed relation to openings.
