FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: metal strip is pressed by roller at definite effort to surface of rotating part to be restored. Two consumable wire electrodes are directed into wedge clearance between surfaces of part and strip at angle relative to each other. Electric arcs are formed between wire electrodes and between each wire electrode and surface of part. Arc flame between wire electrodes is arranged along width of strip. Layer of molten metal is formed between surfaces of part and strip. Arcs between electrode and surface of part form two welding pools on part surface. Reliable connection is formed owing to plastic deformation of strip, layer formed by molten metal of welding pools and surface of part. EFFECT: improved quality of restoration of worn surface. 1 dwg
