FIELD: machine worn-part reclamation, applicable in various branches of mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: an electrode wire is automatically fed tangentially at a small angle to the surface of the rotating part to be reclaimed. A strip is pressed to the part behind the arc zone by the roller at a definite force. Welding bath is formed due to fusion only of the part surface. The welding bath metal is ejected onto the strip surface under the action of the arc and coats it before the welding zone in a continuous layer. The roller rotating due to friction on the surface of the self-tightened strip gets braked, as a result, along with rolling, a partial broaching of the strip occurs, in the process of which metals joined in the welding zone obtain an additional plastic deformation in the form of a shear. Due to it, the process of destruction of the oxide film on the strip surface is intensified. EFFECT: enhanced quality of joint at a joint plastic deformation in the strip welding zone and interlayer of welding bath metal. 1 dwg
