FIELD: utilization of military materiels and ships. SUBSTANCE: channel is made on surface to be cut and filled with electrolyte, then tool in form of bare conductor is placed in channel and potential difference is created between conductor and metal of structure. Channel on structure surface is either sealed, if it is placed in gaseous working medium, or is not sealed if it is arranged in liquid working medium, and bare conductor and structure to be cut are connected by electric wire. Conductor made of metal whose positive potential exceeds that of potential of structure metal is used as tool. Proposed methods does not require external power supply source. EFFECT: simplified structure cutting process, possibility of use under any conditions. 6 dwg
