FIELD: heat treatment of mining equipment items, plates, grinding bodies or the like products. SUBSTANCE: claimed process for heat treating products from ferromagnetic steel comprises annealing, hardening and tempering. Steel comprises (wt%): 0.2-0.29 carbon; 0.2-0.6 silicon; 1.2-1.8 manganese; 0.8-1.3 chromium; 0.15-0.25 molybdenum; 0.005- 0.3 titanium; the iron balance. Annealing is carried out at temperatures from 640 to 660 C, hardening is effected at temperatures from 900 to 930 C and tempering for HRC 30-42 is carried out at temperatures from 400 to 500 C. After heat treatment, products are further treated with magnetic pulse field. EFFECT: more efficient heat treatment process. 2 cl, 2 tbl
