FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this is used in mining steeply inclined seams with thickness of 1.0-2.5 m. Shield support has support sections with curvilinear guards which are connected by their front posts with base and advancement rams which connect bases with base supports located under curvilinear guards. Bases of adjacent sections are pivotally interconnected, and each base is rigidly connected with curvilinear guards by front and rear posts. Base supports in their lateral cross-section are of rectangular box configuration to width of sections for possible displacement relative to each other. Each section is provided with guide rods which are rigidly connected by their one ends with bases, and their other ends are located for possible displacement in spaces made in base supports. EFFECT: high efficiency. 3 dwg
