FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: method is related to measurement of flow rate of liquid by positioning of volumetric flowmeter with mechanical measuring element into flowing liquid which is coupled to counting mechanism. It compensates for resistance of flowmeter to flow of liquid by application to mechanical measuring element of torque which value is determined by difference of liquid pressures at inlet and outlet of flowmeter. Device for implementation of method has volumetric flowmeter which mechanical measuring element is tied up to counting mechanism, differential manometric mechanism and motor with control system of its torque coupled to differential manometric mechanism. Shaft of motor is connected to shaft of mechanical measuring element of flowmeter. Motor with control system of its torque is manufactured in the form of fluid-power motor with inlet and outlet pipe-lines and gate installed in pipeline of flowmeter. Inlet and outlet pipe-lines of fluid-power motor are joined to pipe-line of flow meter ahead and after gate which is kinematically coupled to differential manometric mechanism.
