FIELD: medicine, microbiology, cosmetology, cattle-breeding. SUBSTANCE: method consists in loading of articles in the working chamber and inducing of gas-discharge plasma in it. Plasma is induced by a train of pulses of electromagnetic field with a specific power of at least 0.1 W/cu.cm and mean specific power of not higher than 0.5 W/cu.cm in the pulse. The device for sterilization of articles and materials by means of plasma uses a working chamber in the form of a cover and a base with ducts for pumping-out and pumping-in of gas. The working chamber has at least three electrodes connected to the source of electric oscillations. The working chamber may have an inductance coil. The coil leads and leadouts of the source of electric oscillations are separately connected to the electrodes. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness. 9 cl, 4 dwg
