FIELD: mineral concentration, in particular, devices for hydraulic classification and fractionation of mineral raw materials in ascending flow of liquid; applicable in mineral gravitation concentration and also for pulp thickening, clarification of industrial water and in treatment of industrial sewage. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic classifier has body with cylindrical chamber and conical bottom plate, inlet for pulp supply, and outlet for sands discharge, water inlet, overflow launder and airtight casing with air outlet. Classifier is provided with expanding recleaning chamber connected to branch pipe and devices for trapping heavy fraction, secured to bottom plate in lower part of branch pipe. Branch pipes are tangential, and devices for trapping heavy fraction are made in form of vertical cylinders with conical bottom plates having discharge holes in cone vertexes and additional tangential branch pipes. Bottom plate is made stepped, and devices for trapping heavy fraction are located on each bottom plate step. Diameter of cylinders and step length are equal to width of bottom plate. Additional tangential branch pipes are arranged in pairs on the same level on each cylinder and connected by one end of each pair to pulp distributor, and by its other end, to water supply header. Both ends of pair of branch pipes of device for trapping heavy fraction are connected to water supply header. Classifier is provided with regulated overflow launder and chute for receiving pulp overflow with fine-grained fraction. Cylinders of devices for trapping heavy fraction have annular bead on cylinder internal surface at the level of its upper end. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
