FIELD: glass materials. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to method of making blanks in processes of vapor deposition of ultradispersed glass. At least at the terminal stage of deposition process oxidizing atmosphere is used, for example, at deposition of blank central part. Use of this atmosphere increases intake of alloying addition, decreases axial deviations and total stabilization of deposition process. Invention proposes also method of flow selection through the burner that optimizes the deposition process. EFFECT: improved method of making. 5 cl, 8 tbl, 6 dwg
