FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: this is used for prevention of methane and coal dust explosions with simultaneous isolation of emergency section. Device is installed in niche of underground working. In case of exploding methane, detonator is initiated to ignite explosive charge. Thus created gases compress partitions and inhibitor powder is blown into air-and-dust-tight shell which presses out partition. One-two seconds after detonation, time- delay is operated and compressed gasses rush through non-return valve and tubular passage into vessel. This is accompanied with swelling of shell which is pushed out and quickly expands. Suspended particles of inhibitor push aforesaid shell deeper into underground working. Extending fire flame is thus inhibited with simultaneous fire suppression by swollen partition. EFFECT: high efficiency. 2 cl, 3 dwg
