PROCESS OF LOCALIZATION OF ENERGY OF BLAST WAVE AND GEAR FOR ITS REALIZATION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2174602 C2

FIELD: mining industry, suppression of energy of shock wave if dust and gas explode in mine. SUBSTANCE: process of localization of energy of blast wave includes erection of barriers in section of mine working to diminish energy of blast wave. Expansions are laid in point of setting of barrier in main mine working by way of working of by-ways in side rocks. Additional means to localize energy of blast wave and to extinct fire flame actively are positioned in by- way. Impingement plate of front of energy of blast wave is installed at inlet into expanding part of mine working. Foam screen is employed as additional aid to localize energy of blast wave and self-opening parachute dam is employed in the capacity of means for its formation. At least one bunker with fire-fighting composition is placed in by-way in opposition to front of blast wave. Bunker with fire-fighting composition is located in special stable hole or borehole. It is fitted with pusher with driving mechanism communicating with emergency sensor installed at some distance. Collapsible vessel with liquid nitrogen can be easily utilized in the capacity of bunker with fire-fighting composition. Expansions are arranged in point of air-bridge in working by its connection via sluice box in roof of main mine working with exit to air-bridge. Traps localizing energy of blast wave are installed in wings of air-bridge. By-way and inlet and outlet branches of air-bridge are worked out with formation of labyrinth made of partitions laid in working on opposite sides with their displacement one relative to another along longitudinal axis of working. Barriers are set in main working after exit out of by-way to main working. Impingement plate directing front of blast wave into air-bridge is thrown on to section of main mine working and communicates with emergency sensor installed at some distance. Dead-end recesses- traps coming in the form of sectional water sumps are employed as additional means localizing energy of blast wave and extincting front of fire. Gear for localization of energy of blast wave includes mobile front and rear carriages linked by flexible coupling, drift agitator, shields made fast to chains, drift guides with limiters. Cassettes with gas-generating fixtures which outlet nozzles are oriented in opposition to direction of blast wave are built into shields. Rear carriage carries self-opening barrier coming in the form of parachute dam. EFFECT: increased efficiency of suppression of energy of blast shock wave. 15 cl, 5 dwg
