FIELD: methods for supplying internal combustion engines with thermochemical conversion of liquid hydrocarbon fuel. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing liquid hydrocarbon fuel with part of waste gases followed by supply of mixture thus formed for conversion in thermochemical reactor for obtaining mixture of gases including carbon oxide and hydrogen; then this mixture is mixed with atmospheric air and charge thus formed is delivered to engine for combustion. Conversion of mixture in thermochemical reactor at idling made of operation of engine and at partial loads of steady-state mode, as well as in wide range of unsteady modes of operation is effected at constant temperature which is maintained due to heat of waste gases accumulated in phase shift thermal accumulator during operation of engine at nominal (and close to it) loads. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 1 dwg
