High-frequency energy is brought to discharge from variable-power supply through cable sections having wave impedance R. Number of cable sections N (N=1,2,3..). Sectional area of electrode working surface S, interelectrode gap d, gas mixture pressure p are to be found from equation S(pd)-1= CNR-1, where C is coefficient of proportionality.
