FIELD: gas lasers using capacitive excitation of active medium. SUBSTANCE: gas laser has two planar electrodes forming rectangular spark gap. One of electrodes is connected to output stage of high-frequency oscillator and other electrode is grounded. Electrodes are combined with vacuum chamber walls. Electrode connected to output stage of high-frequency oscillator carries panel mounting output stage components of high-frequency oscillator. Matching device connecting electrode to output stage of high-frequency oscillator is made as strip waveguide line that comes in contact with electrode through its entire length and goes around output stage components of high-frequency oscillator.
