FIELD: mining industry. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to primary processing of ores and other materials, in particular, to apparatus for gravitational dressing of mixtures of materials differing by their densities and particle size and is intended to be used in metallurgy, chemical and building materials industries. Separator of invention contains a conical bowl installed on vertical drive shaft and consisting of bottom and wall, loading connection pipe, and receiver for separation products. Inner side wall of bowl bears height spaced rows of shelves forming angular cavities. Shelves in each row are made discontinuously, shelves of preceding row overlapping ones in the following row. Side loading surface of loading connection pipe is provided with agitators made in the form of rods and installed in angular cavities in spaced relation to them. Bowl bottom has stream swirler.
