SUBSTANCE: invention refers to installations for separating solid materials and can be implemented in particular at concentration of ore and sand containing gold and other precious metals. The rotor of the centrifugal separator consists of a bowl with an outlet open cut; the bowl is connected to a drive. The bowl is equipped with a circular threshold directed inside the bowl; the threshold is arranged so, that there is formed a slit between the edge of the side walls of the bowl and the circular threshold. The edges of the side walls of the bowl are bent outward; a ring is secured in the slit between the bent edges of the side walls of the bowl and the circular threshold; radial pass-through openings are made in the ring. The circular threshold has "П" or L shape in section; also its shelves are directed outward.

EFFECT: upgraded efficiency of material separation, simplification of design and simplification of unloading heavy fractions of material.
