FIELD: concentration of starting raw materials in processing placer and ore deposits containing fine fractions of valuable components. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes tangential delivery of pulp between coaxial cylindrical parts of concentrator housing and bowl via branch pipe made in form of ejector for imparting downward rotary motion to pulp. Bowl is provided with lining on its inner surface; diameter is reduced from cylindrical part, thus making it conical. Bowl is rotatably secured on shaft, thus closing central drain pipe by its bottom. Impeller mounted on drive shaft of bowl in area of concentrator cover is used for preliminary acceleration of pulp. Pulp twisted in downward direction is moved in ascending vortex flow between central drain pipe and inner working surface of concentrator bowl. Concentrates from working surface of concentrator housing and from inner surface of bowl are entrapped on circular bottom of concentrator and are discharged to concentrate receiver through concentrate discharge branch pipe. Light fraction is discharged into drain vertical pipe in form of pulp flow whose direction is opposite to action of centrifugal forces. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of entrapping fine particles of minerals. 4 cl, 1 dwg, 1 ex
