FIELD: electrochemical processes. SUBSTANCE: silica, fluoride salts, and lithium-containing component are loaded into electrolyte in amount 10-35 kg per 1 t aluminium, and, in a method of producing granular fluoride salts including disintegration of lithium and fluorine-containing powder components, mixing, wetting, and drying, as initial lithium-containing component, lithium carbonate and/or hydroxide and, as fluorine-containing component, aluminium fluoride and/or sodium and aluminium fluoride compound are used. Disintegration of initial lithium-containing and/or aluminium- fluorine-containing components is carried out to attain content of fraction with particle size no higher than 8 mcm in amount at least 5%, whereas weight ratio of aluminium fluoride in aluminium-fluorine- containing component to lithium in lithium-containing component is maintained on the level at least 4. In addition, disintegrated mixture of components, prior to be granulated, is wetted to 10-35% moisture and drying is performed at 300-700 C.
