FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy; electrolytic production of aluminum with usage of the electrolytes based on lithium cryolite.

SUBSTANCE: the invention is pertaining to the field of nonferrous metallurgy, in particular, to electrolytic production of aluminum with usage of the electrolytes based on lithium cryolite. The technical result of the invention consists in development of the compositions of the electrolytes having the low melting temperature and the big specific current conductivity at the low volatility and possessing the capacity to heighten velocity of dissolution of the alumina and not forcing deformation of the cathode blocks. The invention offers the compositions of electrolytes containing calcium fluoride, lithium-containing component and aluminum oxide, in which in the capacity of the lithium-containing component there is lithium cryolite and in addition - potassium cryolite or potassium and sodium cryolite at the certain ratio of the components.

EFFECT: the invention ensures development of the compositions of the electrolytes having the low melting temperature and the big specific current conductivity at the low volatility and possessing the capacity to heighten velocity of dissolution of the alumina and not forcing deformation of the cathode blocks.
