FIELD: cooling and condensing of gaseous, vaporous and liquid media in recovery of oil and petroleum products in oil refining , petrochemical and other industries. SUBSTANCE: horizontal apparatus of delivery or suction type includes tube bundle with distributing chambers secured on supporting members for displacement in case of thermal expansion; all members are mounted separately on module-type framework provided with struts. Apparatus is provided with counter-weights-compensators to compensate for vertical bending loads. Supports of tube bundle are made in form of load- bearing members of framework located lengthwise relative to tube bundle. Supports of tube bundle may be made in form of vertical load-bearing walls built in framework and provided with tube supporting members. One distributing chamber of tube bundle may be of floating type; in this case, end of tube bundle shall be rigidly secured on supporting members on side of other distributing chamber. Counter-weights- compensators may be made in form terminal members of framework located as cantilever relative to struts. Counter-weights-compensators may be additionally provided with device regulating the amount of their compensating force. This device may be made in form of rods adjustable in length and articulated on ends of cantilever sections and struts of framework. Length of each cantilever section of apparatus is no less than 0.5 of length between struts of framework and outreach of struts from framework is no more than 0.5 of total height of apparatus which is in its turn does not exceed 1.6 of its width.
