SUBSTANCE: the firing valve cataract of an underwater torpedo tube has a body accommodating a piston with a bore connecting the cataract delivery chamber to the low-pressure chamber, spring, control valve with an adjusting washer, as well as the filling and check tanks, cutoff valve. At least one hydraulic coupling is introduced between the cataract delivery and low- pressure chambers. The hydraulic coupling incorporates a pneumohydraulic valve controlled by outboard pressure with a throttling valve and spring for adjustment to the discrete value of outboard pressure.
