SUBSTANCE: method involves drawing at least one fibrous tape, in particular, filtering tape, from store; feeding tape for processing with following stretching and puffing up; forming filament bundle or filtering bundles from at least one processed fibrous tape in forming device; providing filament bundle or bundles with wrapping material to produce at least one continuous wrapped filament bundle, in particular, filtering bundles. At the initial processing stage fibrous tape is subjected to the action of braking force to adjust quantity of fed tape or other parameters, with braking force being set automatically.
