FIELD: pulp-and-paper industry. SUBSTANCE: cellulose acetate has substitution degree ac. 1.2-2.7. Moldings are thermally stable at temperature at least 150 C. Weight ratio of cellulose acetate to natural cellulose fibers lies between 90:10 and 10:90. Moldings are manufactured by mixing cellulose acetate with natural cellulose fibers or cellulose-containing natural fibers at weight ratio from about 90:10 to 10-90, in particular, from 15:85 to 85: 15. Total moisture content is adjusted to at least about 3 wt % based on total amount of cellulose acetate in mixture. Mixture is molded at about 220-280 C and pressure about 30-150 bar. Moldings find used to cover inner sides of roofs and side panels and also as packing material, insulation material, or as elements of accessories. Moldings are biodegradable and, at the same time, show high stability under loading and high mechanical strength. EFFECT: improved consumer qualities. 25 cl, 4 tbl, 19 ex
