FIELD: metal corrosion control. SUBSTANCE: method involves estimation of adaptation effect of liquid medium microorganisms to corrosion inhibitor and addition of corrosion inhibitor (bactericidal agent) at impact dose. Effect of microorganism adaptation is estimated by electrochemical analysis of biocorrosion process by change of corrosion inhibitor concentration based on determination of rate constants K for biocorrosion process from the ratio: I = I = Io•exp(-Kτn) where: I - current force value, mcA; Io - background current force, mcA; τ - time of process development, h; K and n - empirical constants of biocorrosion process, h-n and dimensionless, respectively.
