FIELD: oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: according to method, obtaining kinetic constants for suppressing microorganisms by biocides in porous medium can be achieved by following procedure. Sample of porous medium is preliminarily contaminated with microflora by filtration of cultural liquid up to stabilization of sample pore clogging process. Then biocide is filtered in determined mode, variable characteristic of its filtration is registered, and control of process of suppressing microorganisms in porous medium is effected according to kinetic constant of process which is determined from following relation: (1), where Y - registered variable biocide filtration characteristic; Yo - same, for filtration through porous medium sample with maximal degree of pore clogging; k, n = kinetic constants of process of suppressing microorganisms in porous medium, K-min-n; τ - period of biocide treatment, min. Method is reliable and fully applicable in industry because needed is only available laboratory equipment. Calculations can be made without using computers. EFFECT: high efficiency. 1 cl, 3 tbl
