FIELD: chromium coatings. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrolytes for applying chromium coatings on transition metal silicides ((MnSi1,75; CoSi; FeSi2, etc. ) and low-resistance silicon. Composition of invention allows producing chromium films with low resistivity in chromium-semiconductor boundary region. Aqueous electrolyte contains (in g/l) chromic anhydride, 500-600; sulfuric acid, 18-20; sucrose, 8-10; and additionally hydrofluoric acid, 110- 115; boric acid, 8-10; and sodium chloride, 4-5.
