SUBSTANCE: method involves feeding fibres to fibre guiding surface, which is widening in the direction of spinning rotor; transferring fibres from guiding surface to sliding surface of spinning rotor spaced apart from guiding surface; spinning yarn from filaments in spinning rotor; supplying air flow to filaments through space into interior part of spinning rotor while preventing air flow from repeated passage through space and withdrawing air from interior part of spinning rotor. Spindleless spinning unit has device for creating air pressure differential and moving air flow through space into interior part of spinning rotor. Mentioned device is formed as compressed air source connected to housing part surrounding space or vacuumizer for creating vacuum in interior part of spinning rotor.
